Welcome to Ashok & Rita Patel Institute of Integrated Study & Research in Biotechnology & Allied Sciences (ARIBAS), New Vallabh Vidyanagar. ARIBAS was established with a single vision to achieve excellence in academics and research in the area of Biotechnology for the benefit of student community and society. The institute was started in the year 2005 with novel 5 year Integrated programs in all areas of Biotechnology and we are very proud indeed that great strides have been made towards strengthening institute’s tradition of excellence in Biotechnology and Allied Sciences by maintaining high quality in teaching, research and community services.

Our campus is set in a beautiful rural setting of New Vallabh Vidyanagar away from hustle and bustle of present day metropolitan cities which facilitates close interaction and camaraderie. We have a congenial learning environment for our students with talented, highly committed teaching and support staff. Our faculties are continuously updating with recent advancements and actively engaged in the academics and research. Students are also exposed to diverse and frontier areas by the visiting faculty and expert talks.

We nurture in students the habits of lateral and innovative thinking, reading latest scientific literature, research aptitude, entrepreneurial skills along with maintaining good physical health and developing positive attitude for a happy life and urge to excel in their endeavors with social and personal responsibility. We believe in holistic development of students through participation in co- and extra-curricular activities organized by various clubs of ARIBAS. The unique teaching and learning process with a proper blend of theory and practical classes develop industry-readiness and global excellence.

The Covid pandemic posed many challenges and opened new opportunities in Biotechnology. It is matter of pride and confidence that our country’s Biotechnology has greatly contributed in covid treatment, vaccine development and production which has also been recognized at the global level. Approval of two indigenous vaccines for different age groups have demonstrated the competency of Biotechnology in India and India may emerge as world leader in vaccine production. We at ARIBAS would strive towards making a significant contribution to the growth potential of Biotechnology towards building a knowledge creating, healthy, progressive, eco-and environment friendly Developed India.
